Morley Torgov', dated Jan 1984. Written by Canadian novelist, humorist and lawyer, Torgov Morley. This novel is set in northern Ontario City, telling the story of Maximilian Glick, who is due to become bar mitzvah in his extremely Orthodox community. However, things are not quite what they seem, with Glick becoming more and more inclined to shed his upbringing to become a stand-up comedian instead. From the library of Hungarian-Canadian author Stephen Vizinczey, best known for his 'In Praise of Older Women', and 'An Innocent Millionaire&apos. His writing was praised by the likes of Graham Greene and Anthony Burgess, describing his fiction as social epics which breathe hope in a corrupt world.
